How to add a translation or a correction
Translating or correcting an episode is fast and can be done in only 5 little steps !
You can do it from any type of computer (win/mac/linux) with only free/libre open-sources softwares.
What you need :
- A fresh version of Inkscape the free/libre and open-source vector drawing software.
- The webcomics repository of Pepper&Carrot (around 400MB) You can or directly download it or clone/fork the Git repository here.
1. Let other know
With a bit of organization, we can avoid duplicate effort.
Read the comments at the end of this page to get more information about reservations.
If no one is working on the episode you want to translate, then leave a comment to let other know.

2. Font instalation
The fonts are already in the **webcomics** repository you downloaded or cloned. It's in a subfolder **font/ **. To install the font :
**on Windows (Vista/8/7)** : select the font file (.ttf, .otf) , right click => Install.
**on Mac :** double-click the font file => "Install font" button at the bottom of the preview.
**on Linux :** Double-click the font file => "Install font" or copy the font file in your ~/.fonts directory.

3. Folder setup
Enter an episode. duplicate an existing language folder and rename it to the language you want to translate. Use two letters only for the country.

4. Edit and translate all SVGs of your folder
Inside the folder you just created, edit all the SVG files with Inkscape.
Translate the content of speech-bubbles, change sound the sounds effect, resize speech-bubble to look good with your new content. Feel free to be the art-director of your translation, and resize, arrange the layout to your taste. Don't forget to sign your translation on the bottom of the credit page and add your name in the CONTRIBUTOR.md file ( at root of the webcomics repository ) as well.
5. Share your translation(s)
Send me back your changed SVGs ( not the full webcomics repository ) and I'll render them and add them to this website, also visible in the Source page. How to send back your work:
A. The easier for me is to receive a merge request on our Gitlab hosted at Framagit. You can also request the permissions to directly push to our repository , just tell me your Gitlab username... If you are not familiar with Git , just go to method B.
B. By email : pack your language folder ( the SVG ) in a ZIP ; it's very lightweight ( I don't need the whole repository ). You can then send me the this pack attached to an email at info@davidrevoy.com. Don't forget to tell me what I should add on CONTRIBUTOR.md. Thank you!

Translating/Correcting the website :
Translating or correcting the website is also possible. The website has it's own Git repository or you can directly download it as a zip. Documentation is written on the README.md . The content of the website is not too long ; 260 lines only and mainly keywords.

FAQ :
Q: Can I add a custom font ?
A: Yes, you can add a new font for your language, but this one need to be an open-source font.
Accepted : Public domain fonts, GNU/GPL fonts, CC-0 fonts, CC-BY fonts, SIL Open Font License (OFL).
In this case, please also add the font information ( author, license, link ) to the fonts/README.md file in the repository.

Q: Can I translate the main title "Pepper&Carrot" ?
A: Yes. Tharinda Divakara created a tutorial about how to create a vector cool title with Pepper&Carrot style. You can read it here .
Q: Can I change the character's name ?
A: Sure, you can. For the french translation, I kept the english 'Carrot' because the french name "Carotte" was feminine.
I kept 'Pepper' and didn't used the translation 'Poivre' or 'Poivron' because it sounds like a french insult people throw at drunken guys 'Poivrot!'
Q: What about the license of translations ?
A : Every translations I'll receive this way will be considered licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution license .
You accept reuse of other persons ( even commercial ) modifications, corrections, of the work. They'll still have to tell it's your work.
Q: A sentence doesn't sounds good in my language, can I rewrite it ?
A: It's ok. The most important is to keep the semantic, the feeling and the information of the story.
Adding style and changing the expression of your target language is natural.
Q: Do I need to translate all the episodes ?
A: Feel free to contribute within your possibilities: you can start step by step. The website is designed to display translations page by page, depending availability of the translation.
You can send episode 01, then one month later send episode 03,04,05 in a row , then stop here if you dislike... or then send all the other episodes. Every contributions are welcome; thank you for any effort and contributions !

I propose to do the German translation.
I'd start with episode 1 and do the others one by one after that.
I'm used to git / github and have an account there, so I can do it via forks and pull requests if that's the most easy way for you.
I'd like to do German as well! Would you mind sharing the work?
@Alexandra why not... the question is how we collaborate without making it more complicated. We could either do different episodes on our own, or we could share our translation drafts, compare and discuss it, and one of us does the final technical steps for publishing. What do you think? How can I contact you? (I'm on DeviantArt and Twitter, both as "phellmes" as well as on FB with my real name).
I have the first episode ready for commit now but can wait for your feedback if you like.
J'avais dejà fait avant une traduction pour l'épisode 3 à l'espagnol d'Espagne. Cette fois, j'ai écrit les textes aux fichiers svg. J'ai utilisé les mêmes polices Lavi et Robokoz et telechargé les .svg a ton répertoire partagé sur share.kde.org. Quant au fichier Readme.md je n'ai fait que ajouter mon nom aux traducteurs/correcteurs.
Par érreur, j'ai téléchargé le premier fichier .svg une deuxième fois hors du fichier comprimé sp.tar.gz. ainsi comment le fichier Readme.md sans ajouter Readme-sp.md pour mieux l'identifier. Tu peux l'effacer les deux
Dès que j'aie un peu de temps, je continuerai avec le reste d'épisodes.

I did a good reception of your folder on share.kde.org ; thanks ! Only modification I made ; I fixed the folder to use 'es' instead of 'sp' ( from w3c recommendation ). The comic (ep03) is online. ; high-res ( on sources ) will be transfered tonight.
@David_REVOY Ok, I'll keep in mind the code 'es' for spanish. I found the new system with *.svg simplier and faster, treating only texts but seeing also the pictures on background, great!
I just added the *.svg files for the spanish translation of episode1 to the shared folder of ownCloud. I tried to create a pull request on github but I still don't know how to do it, I should learn a bit more about using github

Here is a mini How-to git pull request :

1. Create the fork ( a single button on the header of the repo of your choice )
2. Clone your fork on your disk ( using the 'HTTPS clone URL' on the right side of your fork , on a terminal with git , it's for eg. ' git clone https://github.com/TheFaico/peppercarrot_ep01_translation.git ' )
3. Do your modifications on the files
4. Add each files you modified this way ; ' git add README.md '
6. Call ' git commit -m "Here is your sweet message describing your changes" '
7. Repeat ( 3 to 6 ) for any other big modifications, multiple commit message can be done
8. Call ' git push ' to push back the change on Github ( it will ask for Github password and login )
9. Back on Github , on the header of your repository, you can click the green button with two arrows on it to offer a pull request.
... Here I use Rabbit VCS plugin for Nemo, Nautilus on Gnome based system... it helps to get the git add / git commit directly with a GUI at a right click of the mouse.
That being said, the folder you send on share.kde.org with the readme is perfectly easy for me too. Thank you ! You can continue this way, I understand Github might be too complex and confusing for the one not used to it :-)
Hi, I hope to do the Japanese translation. I need to research for a suitable Japanese open source font first though.(I have several ones in my mind, but need to try and see which fits better) Hopefully I'll have a test translation run this weekend.

As you probably know, all my childhood was influenced a lot by Japanese anime and video-games, and I spent a lot of time on 'comics Import shops' ( popular in France, before 2000 and the Internet ). It was the only place to get the last Manga before they were translated in French. Honestly, I never understood a single line of the text, but I was too exited to read only the artworks before anyone else. When I was 15 years old, I submitted my profile to the http://www.osaka-geidai.ac.jp/geidai/english/">Osaka University of Arts and was accepted, but my parents didn't agree about it, probably afraid to let me go so far.
So, the Japanese writing system feels graphically so aesthetic to me, and related to old dreams. Receiving your Pepper&Carrot version would be a good present ! Good luck for finding the font.

I am working on the Greek translation. Now i only need to know Carrot's gender. Greek words usually need to specify this. example carrot= karoto vegetable (neutral= not acceptable as a name in greek), carrotoola (female). carrotoolis (male)

Hi David, I uploaded the Japanese translation to share.kde.org from EP1 to EP5. I also uploaded the Japanese font I used to EP1 folder. Let me know if you have trouble loading them. I left the title as-it so far - if I had a great logo making skill I'd try, but I think it's better to leave it in original form.
I enjoyed the translation process. Even when the text language is different, I think we share visual/structure language thanks to the manga influence probably.

David, 2 things:
There is no need to know any PHP to translate the site.I just followed the instructions and I think it worked fine. Not knowing PHP kept me from working on it before. Basic HTML is helpful just so you know what NOT to change. =P
You said you would the invite the translators and I see that some began 5 days before the release, but I never heard about it. Anywhere i can subscribe or something?

@Kev Just a little suggestion about your translation of ep3: you could use "Konkurs eliksirów" instead of "Eliksirowy konkurs". It sounds more natural IMHO but it's just a suggestion.

I updated the first episode to also use it and I 'll also contact the Ukrainian translator to know if I can switch all the Ukrainian text to it ( if it is compatible ) ; because it looks really better than the previous font 'Blogger Sans' . Couldn’t Pepper&Carrot use something like transifex to allow people to collaborate online on the translations?
Also, is the esperanto in the tutorial a joke or can we hope for an esperanto version of Pepper&Carrot?
@MCMic : Hi, no ; translating comic page can't use simple string replacement app, nor depend of a third party service ; I want to keep Pepper&Carrot freedom. Positionning is needed due to the graphical layout. SVG is still the best way I found.
The esperanto in the speechbubble is a joke ; but if a translator wants to do it, I'll be happy to push it online.

@Mahwiii : Oh, so cool ! The readme is just a place for the credits. Just write your name on it, and if you used an extra open-font , write the credit for the font inside this document. This way I can keep track of the credit in a single episode. :-)

Je ne trouve pas ça difficile car on se repère à la couleur, les textes étant en noir. Je préfère cette méthode car je suis sûre de ne pas faire une modification idiote avec Inkscape sur le fichier SVG. Je vérifie bien que le texte reste dans la bulle.

Pour la version française, elle me semble un peu maladroite par endroit, comme si c'était un calque de l'anglais (le texte anglais est bon). Pour ne vexer personne, est-il préférable de proposer d'abord des corrections à part, sans modifier le fichier SVG?
Comme j'ai lu que des gens apprennent le français en lisant ton webcomic, c'est peut-être utile de faire ces corrections?

J'accèpte tout type de corrections, merci. C'est vrai qu'avant les épisodes 6 et 7 , j'écrivais les dialogues en anglais uniquement ; et que 1, 2, 3 , 4 et 5 ont peut-être besoin de paufinage, je les ai traduit en même temps que faire le code multi-lingue du site.

Oh, à mon avis, pas besoin de mentionner l'auteur de qqs corrections en français. C'est une contribution dérisoire.
Je vais regarder le reste du français. Je ferai les corrections dans les fichiers SVG, c'est sans doute le plus facile pour toi.
Pour la version en esperanto, il faut patienter. J'ai dû me documenter sur les onomatopées et interjections dans les BD. Faut bien comprendre comment ça marche, comment c'est utilisé et comment en inventer avant de se lancer. Très intéressant. On ne peut sans doute pas garder «SPLASH» par ex., mais «PLONĜ» me paraît encore mieux (prononciation: plondj): on trouve cette onomatopée dans _Tintin au Tibet_ en Esperanto (pour traduire «PLOUF». J'ai remarqué que le menu devient disgracieux en fonction de la taille de la fenêtre.
Le lien making-of se place en dessous du reste si les dimensions de la fenêtre du navigateur ne sont pas entre les dimensions que tu as fixées à l'aide des medias queries.

2. If we make changes in the SVG file through Inkscape, the sodipodi:absref is automatically edited. So I simply pasted your original sodipodi:absref over the saved one. I think if we save the file in Plain SVG, sodipodi:absref isn't recorded. Yet is Plain SVG good for you to use?

BTW Github isn't the best place for freedom lovers since in fact it uses Amazon cloud. 1. The title of the comic is a pure vector art, up to your artistic choice. For latin-like language , I advice using the 'Jester' font http://www.dafont.com/jester.font as a base, then crackle it a bit, and add hard corner here and there.
The 'witch property' was from episode 2 , and episode 1 and 2 were 'ported' to be multilingual, but as you saw, they were not made at the time I had a 'standard' set ( page size, etc...) If you want to translate this label, you can, but you need to patch the background with vector shapes to hide the original text, and on the top add your text.
2. Inkscape save many things into the SVG ( windows position, geometry, etc... ) ; the Sodipodi one is something minor. Here I use Inkscape to render the translation at 300ppi in bash/command line mode. The only thing I require is Inkscape to be able to read it.
3. Ha, super! merci pour la preview.
Github : Yes, sure it's not libre, and I knew it; thanks for the information of Gitlab. On long term, for sure, I prefer to relly on open-community services. But the migration might take a little time, and migrating for migrating I think I would change a bit the design. Right now , a single Git repo per episode is probably not the best idea. Pushing to 7 repository is a lot of work, and I wonder if I should just merge All in a single GIT. Even if it might grow heavy on the long term. What do you think about it ? Many tiny GIT repo based on episode ; or a single global GIT repo for all translation ( website + episode + title artwork ) ?
If I do this refactor, it would be for the autumn. The big part is mostly for my rendering bash script.

Et j'ai fini la traduction de l'épisode 3 en Esperanto. Hura!

Kritofo ne donne pas de signe de vie. Cela m'a laissé le temps de faire toute la traduction de Pepper&Carrot, jusqu'au 8 que je dois encore revoir.
Depuis PCManFM, le dossier eo ne veut pas se charger sur ton espace dans KDE share et les passants ne peuvent pas faire un dossier. Donc, est-ce que ça va si je mets les fichiers dans les dossiers existants «ep01» etc. ou veux-tu faire des sous-dossiers «eo»? Il n'y a pas d'urgence, de toutes façons.

Le problème tout de même avec notre Kristofo, c'est que s'il ne corrige pas ma version brute sur mon site, il faudra qu'il corrige lui-même les fichiers SVG et qu'il les télécharge de nouveau. J'aurais voulu lui éviter ce travail. Et ça aurait été simple et sympathique de pouvoir discuter de la traduction. avec lui, sur mon site.Tant pis.

Malheureusement, non. Je ne connais personne. Peut-être demander à l'auteur lui-même?
Oui, j'ai vu tout à la fin en revoyant tout que Lavi n'a pas de ĉ,ĝ,ŝ,ĵ. (pour les non-avertis ce n'est pas très visible la plupart du temps) et j'ai été voir sur Dafont pour confirmation; en revanche, toutes les voyelles ont des ^. Pour l'épisode 4, le Ŝuŝ pour rendre Shh ne passait pas du tout; j'ai dû mettre Sxusx, ce qui est la graphie en esperanto quand on n'a pas moyen d'écrire ŝ. Ça fait un peu barbare mais les espérantophones connaissent.
Il y a très peu de polices libres ou domaine public dans le rayon Comics/BD. J'ai trouvé aussi Bubble Gum mais pas d'accent non plus.
@libre fan : Je vais essayer de me pencher sur le cas de Lavi :-) Il y a pas mal de légère modification que j'aimerais y apporter ; mais je vais devoir apprendre fontforge. Quelquechose que je souhaitais faire de toute façon ( http://en.flossmanuals.net/fontforge/ ).

Checked, Lavi is missing the "usual" ő, ű, Ő, Ű characters. And since "ő" is the third person singular pronoun, it's little bit important :)
The others (á, é etc.) are in the latin1 character set, so most fonts have them.

Si jamais tu veux améliorer cette phrase en esperanto, il faudrait faire ainsi:
* si tu veux dire «toutes les langues» : ciujn lingvojn (pluriel tjrs en -j + accusatif tjrs en -n)
* si tu veux dire «cette langue» : tiun lingvon
* si tu veux dire «votre/ta langue»: vian lingvon (adj. tjrs en -a)
Tu peux placer la plupart des mots un peu comme tu veux tant que ça a un sens et que le rythme te paraît bien. Au lieu de modifier la taille des bulles, par exemple, j'ai parfois simplement modifié l'ordre des mots (et parfois, aussi parce que ça me semblait plus joli ou plus expressif).
Je vais essayer de faire un blabla en espéranto pour résumer tes bons conseils de cette page. Ce sera une adaptation plutôt qu'une traduction mais peut-être utile à des gens qui ont du mal en anglais et en français, sait-on jamais.

je conserve la lettre ĥ ici même si elle n'est quasiment plus utilisée de nos jours car l'histoire se passe dans un lointain passé et parce que le maire de Komona est un peu prétentieux.

Voilà: j'ai fait la traduction de l'épisode 9 en Esperanto et du coup, j'ai revu tous les épisodes de ma version EO. J'ai donc tout téléchargé à neuf:

3) En fait, j'ai téléchargé tous les épisodes. Il y avait des fautes idiotes et des broutilles, comme des incohérences dans les points de suspension (ça faisait moche mais tout n'est pas cohérent car après ça demande plus de place mais à peu près élégant).

Il y a un truc bizarre Ep04P02: le chapeau de Ĝustatempe est presque invisible en ligne et en fait, il y a un ^ sur le dessin lui-même et qqs traces qui n'appartiennent pas du tout à la bulle ni au texte de la bulle. Ça, c'est qqchose que je ne peux pas «réparer» très facilement car je n'ai pas Krita chez moi.
Et enfin un gentil correcteur-traducteur en Esperanto a fait son apparition. Donc, je prépare les corrections des EP. 3 à 9.

À propos du français dans l'épisode 13, si je peux me permettre une remarque, contrairement à l'anglais où "Best holidays ever !" ne pose aucun problème, "Meilleurs vacances du monde !" ne sonne pas très français. Je suggère de rajouter "Les" devant "meilleurs".

Il me semble que nous avons sur ce point un ressenti complètement opposé.
C'est pour moi « Meilleures vacances du monde ! » qui me choque et « Les meilleures vacances du monde ! » qui passe comme une lettre à la poste. Je ne ressens d'ailleurs pas le côté "pointé du doigt".
D'un autre côté, l'expression en Franglais « Best Vacances Ever ! » ne me pose pas de problème. (et j'ai la même prononciation que la vôtre ^^)
Par contre, je penche aussi pour le régionalisme pour ce qui est de la traduction mot à mot donnant la forme actuelle de l'expression.
En parlant de régionalisme, je vis dans une région où l'on a tendance à mettre des articles même là où il n'y en a pas besoin, notamment devant les prénoms (Franche-Comté power ^^ ). Ça doit sûrement accentuer mon inconfort avec la forme actuelle de la phrase.
C'est vrai que rajouter « tout simplement » prend trop de place. Que pensez-vous de : « C'est les meilleures vacances du monde ! » ?

Dans la version anglaise P05: «Pas encore» me semble avoir été malcompris. Coriandre veut dire «Oh, non, Carrot, on n'a pas encore fini de jouer!». Ça n'est pas «Not again» mais «Not yet» … enfin AMHA.

Pour le 'pas encore' , Carrot à en effet ruiner plusieurs jeux précedant. Quand Pepper se vante que 'cette' quête est trop facile devant le chevalier noir, c'est qu'ils ne sont pas à la première. C'est de la que viens leur pseudo lassitude et les discutions 'en off' pendant cette partie. Mais c'est vrai, ce n'est pas mentionné de manière explicite.

J'allais justement écrire, après mûre réflexion, que les indices que tu donnes peuvent laisser penser que Carrot en est à sa énième intervention, et un autre indice: le contexte général est des jours de vacances («les meilleures ever»), pas juste une soirée.

Ps: avec mon FF et mes modules, je ne vois pas le contenu du capcha, donc je passe par TorBrowser que ton nouveau honeypot n'aime pas beaucoup. En passant, Wordpress bénéficie d'un excellent anti-spam sans complexité avec le plugin WPSpamshield et ça marche aussi avec TB sans histoire. Je sais bien que tu ne fais pas ton site avec WP mais ton Honeypot fait quand même beaucoup d'avertissement.

Désolé pour le honeypot: j'étais au bout du rouleau quand j'ai mis ça plus pas mal de capcha car le CMS de Pepper&Carrot laissait filtrer plus de 30 commentaires spam par jour : une vraie corvée quotidienne de nettoyage. Dans l'état actuelle ce n'est plus que 5 ou 6 spam quotidien... Pas idéal...
Il y a trois jour, Pluxml a eu une nouvelle version ( 5.5 ). Je vais aller tester car le changelog indique des progrès pour les commentaires. Ca va me demander un petit temps de porter tout le code de Pepper&Carrot sur cette nouvelle mouture, mais je vais faire le max.
J'imagine bien que Wordpress fait bien les choses aussi mais c'est aussi la cible la plus convoité par les pirates ( l'histoire de Linux Mint en Janvier/Février 2016 l'a prouvé ) et Wordpress utilise SQL+Php que je ne connais pas assez. Ca me demanderai certainement plus d'un mois de gros boulot pour adapter la base de donnée en flat file XML de PluXML en champs SQL et en apprenant Wordpress, alors que je connais et me sens à l'aise dans la structure de PluXml que j'utilise depuis 2004 / 2005.
J'éspère qu'avec la version 5.5 je pourrai me passer des plugin honeypot et imagecapcha qui ont l'air de te rendre la vie difficile. Merci d'endurer ça et pour le retour ( sans quoi j'aurai jamais su que ces strategie de protection pouvaient être handicapante ).
@David, merci beaucoup de ta gentillesse et de ta patience. Oh, je sais les spams c'est vraiment la poisse. J'ai mis longtemps à trouver le bon plugin qui soit vraiment efficace et qui n'en profite pas pour espionner les visiteurs (comme Akismet ou le plus connu de Drupal). J'avais un honey pot pour Drupal mais c'était pas très efficace et enfin j'ai trouvé deux perles pour WP et pour Drupal. Mais il faut dire aussi que mes sites sont très peu visités et ne sont donc pas des cibles.
Je sais bien que changer de CMS est très difficile aussi.. Passer des heures à faire des copier-coller, article par article, c'est pas la joie… C'est ce que j'ai dû faire pour migrer le plus sûrement possible depuis SPIP, qui avait une BD, mais qui en plus fichait du CSS à sa sauce partout.
J'ai pas mal modifié about:config de FF et j'utilise uMatrix et NoScript, donc ça rend le web pas toujours très facile mais c'est mon choix (tant pis pour moi). Il reste que les capcha sont souvent problématiques et past très efficaces.
J'en profite pour demander: est-ce que ça t'intéresserait de proposer un salon jabber plutôt qu'IRC? Cela pourrait se faire sur Movim (pod.movim.eu), que ça ferait connaître à tes lecteurs et utiliser Movim est facile (sauf parfois pour moi mais peu importe). C'est plus facile et plus attrayant que de passer par un client XMPP. J'ai fait un salon P&C en essai, ça se fait très facilement sur le pod.movim.eu mais comme je suis cruche (il y a qqchose d'incompatible entre Movim et moi, pas encore trouvé quoi, mais Movim est génial), ça reste basique et je vais le supprimer mais tu peux en faire un d'un coup de baguette de Pepper :-)
Comme Movim fait plein de choses avec XMPP, il y a peut-être un bon potentiel et qui sait, un jour, tu auras peut-être un serveur «Movim». J'ai vu qu'il y a déjà un flux RSS de tes dessins sur pod.movim.eu.

I have spotted that the greek translation has been postponed for too much time and the previous translators (Marios and Dimitris) haven't been active, it seems.
I am therefore going to translate every episode that already exists and will contiinue to do so for the upcoming ones, if it is alright with you, David. I will rewrite the first 3 ones too, since there are some spelling and grammatical mistakes. I will provide a changelog for every episode, if you want. I will also invite people to proof-read my translation. Following the fully open source nature of the website, I encourage every fellow greek to proof-read, test, propose suggestions and correct my translation as they see fit.
If I am some how unsure if I can complete the task, I will inform you for the matter.

I will ask you for github permission once I have everything ready to be published (currently learning a thing or two about inkscape so that I can manipulate texts better). Right now I have everything I need to work. Expect all of the episodes to be translated in a week or so (depends on how hard Inkscape will be on me XD ).

It's done, David!
Every episode, including corrections for the first three ones, is now translated in Greek! Here is a short description (a changelog, if you will).
-Main dialogue/header font: Pecita
-Side-mentions/some of the sound effects/street signs/last page description font: VAG-HandWritten
-All other sound effects font: Default (I think it was Lavi, if it doesn't work, tell me to change them)
All the dialogues have been put together with thought for the Greek idioms and pequliarities of the language.
Name Changes (for the sake of sounding good):
-Chaosah --> Chaodiah
-Sishimi --> Sissimi
-Thyme --> Thimara
Overall, it took me about 11-12 days total. Proofreaders will flood your site once this goes up online, to validate my work.

This is an awesome webcomic! As far as I searched, there's no one doing a Farsi translation of this series, so I'm going to translate all the available episodes into Farsi (FA). I'm familiar with Github, no worries!
In the case of "mexicano" translation isn't better to call them "Español latinoamérica" or "Español latinoamericano"?, in latin america it's more common to call in that way.
Hi! I'm native Korean and would like to do Korean translation for all of the comic. Previous translations feel unnatural, texts are poorly positioned, and has typos here and there.(and judging by the name of the contributor, it's done by a non-native.) Also I've found a suitable open-source font for Korean, and would like to include it as well.

This was intended has a reply to Alexandre and not a "general" post. Feel free to remove it. Basically what I was proposing was the translation into European Portuguese as opposed to Portuguese from Brasil (think of color versus colour, "tu" versus "vous" and more ;) )

No, it's me who is sorry ; the reply button javascript is buggy on my content management system PluXml and I'm a bit dependent of the developpers of PluXml to fix it.

Splitting br and pt is good idea ; it was necessary for the Spanish/Mexican, so no problem.

The reply and my un-ability to edit made my answers look quite dumb... Glad you understood and thumbs up for the Spanish/Mexican case. It makes for a better comparison between changes in a (naturally evolving) language. I'll get in touch with the guys at the mailing list. If I have time and all goes well, after starting on the comic we can progress into the web page itself.

Hi @Pow; No one ever proposed for the Philippine language ; so feel free to start how you want on it ( start by episode 01, or by your favorite episode, or by the latest one...). It will be probably easy on my side, because Philippine language -as far as I read on wikipedia- use the default latin font character. But I also read there is up to 120 to 175 languages and dialects ; what a rich culture! Maybe you propose this one: Filipino language ? For the ISO code, probably avoid the [fi] , official one for the Finland, you can use [fp] for it. Thanks for your proposition of contribution!
It is! I will translate it to our main one which is Tagalog, we use English as our second language so cases of Taglish (Tagalog-English) is a non-issue.

when i export to png the added effects [ not the text and speech bubbles ] don't render properly [i softened/blurred somethings to better match the environment ] do i need to worry about these or you handle those?
Don't worry about this. When I do rendering, I switch the low-resolution background to the hi-resolution and I turn all the quality setting to hi quality in Inkscape settings. It usually produce good quality. I also keep two version of Inkscape on my disk , 0.91 and 0.92.2 ; for redirecting SVG to render with optimal engine. If you want, we can test it.
