At the end of August 2018, I'll be moving to a new place (15 minute away, not far). Unfortunately, the new house is not really ready; so I'm working hard changing the wall layout, electricity setup, adding a new floor on the top of the old one, painting walls, fixing kitchen equipment and more... I've been working on this full time with my wife (and with the precious help of my family) since the start of August and that's why I've been a bit silent. The final move is planned for the 27 of this month and days are getting intense! I'll be back on social network, IRC, and my mailbox in the start of September. Enjoy the end of the summer!

Just after the release of Episode 26 "Books are Great", I decided to add a new part to the Pepper&Carrot website: [the Documentation](https://www.peppercarrot.com/static14/documentation "the Documentation" ). It's a collaborative Wiki with information for translators, developers and creators of derivations. You will find a button to this documentation in the "Sources" category.
**What's now on it:**
* [A tutorial](https://www.peppercarrot.com/static14/documentation&page=040_-_Method_using_a_Web_browser "A tutorial" ) to translate and upload episodes using only Inkscape and a Web browser!
* [A workflow](https://www.peppercarrot.com/static14/documentation&page=050_-_Method_using_Git "A workflow" ) for those using the command-line and Git.
* A port of my article about [best practices for attribution](https://www.peppercarrot.com/static14/documentation&page=950_License_attribution_good_practise "best practise for attribution" ).
* The description of our [API](https://www.peppercarrot.com/static14/documentation&page=130_API "API" ).
* ...and many more tips and information.
I hope this resource will be useful to all the contributors, and a good place to welcome new ones.

Do you remember Liberapay? I wrote [ a small article](article618/peppercarrot-is-now-on-liberapay) about it when I first joined the platform last year. Dozens of anonymous supporters joined it to support Pepper&Carrot. If you are one of them, thank you!! ... But today Liberapay is in trouble: their payment processor, **Mangopay, is throwing them out**...
What should you do? Liberapay recommends that **every user evacuates the money from their account before July 26th**. So, I'm relaying this message here to make sure every supporter of Pepper&Carrot gets the information. Log in to your Liberapay account, and you will get a notification with a longer explanation and instructions on what you do with your account. The Liberapay team also sent an email to every user, but I thought best to help spread the word. You can find more information in this [official blog post](https://medium.com/liberapay-blog/liberapay-is-in-trouble-b58b40714d82 "official blog post" ) from the Liberapay team.
On my side, this source of donation really helped because it was regular: weekly rather than triggered by the release of a new episode. For sure, **my budget will be affected** on the long term by this interruption of service.... but not on the short-term: when I logged in this morning to my Liberapay account, I saw more money than usual, sent by anonymous donors to compensate the interruption of service. So, let me send you a big thank you! I can now focus only on the production of episode 26.
Finally, all my thoughts go to the Liberapay team; that's why I drew this quick illustration this morning. I hope they'll find a new payment processor, more robust and trustworthy, and that they'll be able to continue this beautiful adventure. Be back soon, Liberapay! (but take the necessary time for the refactor) Projects like Pepper&Carrot really need you! ;-)

Last year, Edgar Simo-Serra, Satoshi Iizuka, Hiroshi Ishikawa conducted a research at the Waseda University (a Japanese private research university in Shinjuku, Tokyo) about training a computer to turn pencil sketches into cleaned line-art. The researcher used the hi-resolution scan pencil sketches you can find in the sources of the Pepper&Carrot website (published under Creative Commons Attribution) to conduct tests and show visual results of their experiments. You can find many example illustrations of "before" and "after" in the paper. I was flattered that my artworks were used as examples in this well-made study; _Creative Commons licenses FTW_! A good reason to share that document with the Pepper&Carrot community!
You can read the full paper as a PDF at this address:

To be frank, I never really cared about cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin&Co). Managing money is by far _the last passion_ I could develop in my lifetime, so creating new wallets across the web and managing new currencies... no fun for me: I usually skip. I think I just don't have the soul of a manager (my citizen from Deevadcity on SimCity2000 can still attest). But last week-end, I decided to make an exception: I joined a cryptocurrency project: the Ğ1 (pronounced_ /ʒyn/_). The Ğ1 is a cryptocurrency based on the Duniter software. The reasons I was seduced into joining a _cryptothing_ were (sorted by my preferences):
1. A friend introduced it to me.
2. Community of friends and known nicknames already part of the members active in my region.
3. Libre project with a community: all the software, client, communication and tools are available on GitLab.
4. Built around a concept of _Web of Trust_, you need to be certified by five members to become a member.
5. More energy efficient than Bitcoin.
Then there is _Universal Dividend_, math expressions and other things that doesn't really trigger more enthusiasm from me; probably because of my non-money-manager nature. But I'm happy with my top five and I added a Ğ1 button on the front page of Pepper&Carrot to receive donations and also support this relatively new open-source community in their efforts to get known and spread to many more users.
So, in practice: as an artist, can you pay your home rent or eat food with Ğ1? No, unless your food provider or landlord support the Ğ1 (believe me, I don't think they are many).** **So, you probably want to ask me: _what can you buy with your Ğ1?_ That's simple: books, courses, objects; two websites exist for that: ğchange and ğannonce. They connect users to trade goods or services for Ğ1. Because the community is active around my region, the number of items keeps growing daily.
So, that's all about why I opened a Ğ1 account. My account is still not "member" as I write these lines. So, if you have a Ğ1 member account and think I can join the _Web of Trust,_ I'll be honored to receive your certification.

_Video demo of the app_
[Imsesaok](https://framagit.org/imsesaok) is a long-time contributor to the Korean translation of Pepper&Carrot; he recently started a project to write a free/libre and open-source, multi-language Pepper&Carrot e-Reader for Android. The app connects to the official website and downloads the pages from [the database of pages](https://www.peppercarrot.com/0_sources/ "the database of pages" ). The e-Reader offers a customized interface to read the webcomic and receive a notification when a new episode is available. The license of the project is [GPL-3.0](https://spdx.org/licenses/GPL-3.0-or-later.html) and you can find the [source code](https://framagit.org/peppercarrot/e-reader) on Framagit as a part of the official Pepper&Carrot group there.
Note: the project is still young and might not be stable on every device.
If you find bugs, please report them on the [Bug Tracker](https://framagit.org/peppercarrot/e-reader/issues).
**Install the e-Reader via:**
